The Reliance ADA Group and Swan Telecom continue to be implicated in the 2G spectrum case.
After Ashish Tambawala, senior executive vice president of Reliance Infrastructure Limited appeared before special CBI judge O.P. Saini, another witness has informed a Delhi Court that Sonata Investment Limited, allegedly involved in transfer of funds between the two companies, was a part of the Reliance ADA Group.
However, the witness stated that Anil Ambani was not on its board of directors. Elaborating his point, the witness, Deepak Maheshwari, senior vice president, Project and Finance, Reliance Power, said that Sonata Investment Limited is part of the Reliance Energy group and is a non-banking finance company.
Maheshwari also said that the company was engaged in investments and corporate lending.
