The government of Andhra Pradesh has constituted a 360-degree global capability centres (GCC) advisory council to position the state as a digital-economy powerhouse.
The initiative brings together C-suite leaders (CXO), industry bodies such as the National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM), business councils, consulting leaders, real estate developers, and leading academic institutions.
The newly formed GCC advisory council has a broad mandate, including drafting a five-year strategic roadmap for Andhra Pradesh’s GCC sector.
Further, its focus areas include building a future-ready talent pipeline through partnerships with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Tirupati and the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Visakhapatnam and through skill development programmes; driving innovation and research and development via global collaborations; developing information technology (IT) parks, plug-and-play facilities, and grade-A commercial spaces; reviewing and monitoring IT and GCC policy (4.0) implementation; and leading branding and global outreach through roadshows in the United States, Europe and Asia.
