Anant Raj Cloud has entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the state of Andhra Pradesh to set up new data centre (DC) facilities and an information technology (IT) park in the eastern coastal region.
The MoU was signed with the Andhra Pradesh Economic Development Board (APEDB) in the presence of the state’s minister for Information Technology, Electronics and Communications.
Under the agreement, Anant Raj Cloud will invest nearly Rs 45 billion in two phases to develop advanced DC infrastructure and cloud services, the company informed the stock exchanges.
Further, the project is expected to generate around 8,500 direct and 7,500 indirect employment opportunities while strengthening the state’s digital ecosystem. This investment is in addition to the company’s existing 307-megawatt of DC capacity currently under development. The partnership aims to accelerate the creation of world-class digital infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh, with APEDB supporting facilitation and coordination with relevant government departments to ensure timely rollout.
