Smartron has appointed Amit Boni as vice-president, sales and marketing. He was previously heading Motorola’s operations in India. At Smartron, he will be responsible for overall brand building, besides heading the sales and marketing functi­ons. Smartron, an Indian IoT start-up that was founded in 2014, is likely to launch a mobile phone series in the coming months.
