Alcatel SA has won a multimillion dollar order from the Palestinian operator Jawwal to replace part of its GSM network, with the project set to be completed early this year. Under the terms of the contract, Alcatel will be responsible for the supply, installation, commissioning and integration of its multi-standard GSM/GPRS/EDGE/WCDMA radio access solution, including a period of optimisation assistance.
