French technology brand Alcatel, operated independently by TCL Communications under a license from Nokia, is set to relaunch its mobile phone sales in India. The company is planning to introduce a range of premium smartphones, beginning with a stylus-equipped model targeting the mass market.

Alcatel first entered India in 1996 with cordless mobile phones but remained absent during the smartphone boom due to ownership changes. After merging with Lucent in 2006 and later being acquired by Nokia in 2016, the brand exited the Indian market. Now, it is set for a comeback.

In addition, the company will manufacture these smartphones locally and establish a nationwide service network to ensure after-sales support. Leveraging its patented technology and expertise, the company aims to offer enhanced user experiences.
