Alcatel-Lucent has reportedly signed a contract with Libyan Post Telecommunications and Information Technology Company to supply a fibre optic network that will cover all of Libya.

Alcatel-Lucent has reportedly signed a contract with Libyan Post Telecommunications and Information Technology Company to supply a fibre optic network that will cover all of Libya. The contract is valued at over 90 million euro. The network will serve as the backbone for Libya’s telecom infrastructure, linking all major cities with over 4,400 km of fibre.
