Aksh Optifibre Limited, the New Delhi based leading manufacturer of Optical Fibre, Optical Fibre Cables and fibre reinforced plastic (FRP) Rods has commissioned its FRP manufacturing facility in Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), Dubai through its wholly owned subsidiary AOL FZE. This facility with a production capacity of 400,000 KMS Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Rods is pipped to be the largest such manufacturing facility in the Middle East.

Chetan Chaudhari, managing director Aksh Optifibre Limited., said that with the company?s current outlook for continuous growth and expanding its global footprint, the Dubai facility is a step towards realizing this vision as well as adding incremental value to all its stakeholders worldwide. The company which is currently in turnaround after the global recession of 2008, has been going from strength to strength to re-assert its global dominance in FRP Rods manufacturing and with the addition of this new facility, makes the company the undisputed leader amongst all FRP Rods manufacturers globally.

The past couple of months have been especially significant for the company after it was awarded an INR 210 Crore order from BBNL for the Indian NOFN Project amongst other high value orders that the company has generated. The Board of Directors of the company at its meeting have recommended a Final Dividend at 5 per cent for the financial year 2013-14.

Aksh Optifibre currently has two in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan which primarily caters to the manufacturing of World Class Optical Fibre and Optical Fibre Cables and another unit in Reengus, District Sikar, Rajasthan which specializes in the manufacturing of FRP Rods and Optical Fibre Cables. At present 65 per cent of the company?s revenue comes from exports and the company has emerged as a leader in the supply of Optical Fibre Cables and FRP Rods exporting to more than 56 countries across 6 continents.
