Bharti Airtel has spent nearly Rs 310 billion in capital expenditure (capex) during financial year 2024-25 (FY25), while its mobile tower subsidiary invested an additional Rs 70 billion, according to a senior executive at Bharti Enterprises.
The executive said the telecom operator’s capex increased during the financial year ended March 31, 2026, adding that detailed figures will be officially announced in the coming days.
He noted that this is the right time to invest and expand in India, citing the country’s underlying growth momentum.
In addition, echoing the government’s broader economic outlook, he said India should focus on reducing gold imports, lowering energy costs and accelerating the transition towards renewable energy. He also urged citizens to support domestic economic growth by prioritising spending within the country.
