Bharti Airtel is planning to make a phased roll-out of 4G services in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in 2014-15. Among the top five cities of the two states, Hyderabad, Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam are on the operator?s priority list for the launch of 4G services.

?We are looking to launch it in the next 6-8 months, and by the end of current financial year we will definitely have it in both the states,? said Venkatesh Vijayraghavan, CEO of Airtel?s operations in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.

Airtel had already launched 4G services in Punjab, Pune, Bangalore and Kolkata.

Besides 4G services, the company stated that it would cover all the 270 towns in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana with 3G data and voice services by the end of 2014-15.

To expand its 3G services in the states, Airtel launched its 3G Wi-Fi dongle in the Andhra Pradesh and Mumbai circles. The dongle enables users to download speeds of up to 21.6 mbps and also create a single Wi-Fi hotspot for at least five users. It is available for Rs 2,100 bundled with 6 GB free data for prepaid customers.
