Airtel is taking various key measures to accelerate its network roll outs, upgrading quality of service wherever possible. The telco is also pacing up investments to meet the growing requirements of seamless connectivity during the lockdown across the country.
Moreover, it is in constant touch with its enterprise and government customers to enable smooth functioning of all essential services.
Further, Airtel has also reviewed contingency plans of all its partners, managed service providers, tower companies, equipment providers, call centres and software providers to ensure that all operate as a single unit in a coordinated manner.
Meanwhile, Airtel has also urged Reliance Jio, Vodafone Idea, BSNL and MTNL to activate intra-circle roaming to provide seamless connectivity to all telecom subscribers as cities go under lockdown due to Covid-19 or coronavirus outbreak. This move is in line with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP-17) for Telecommunication Services for responding to Disasters, as issued by Department of Telecommunications (DoT).
