Bharti Airtel has reappointed Gopal Vittal as Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executing Officer (CEO) for a further period of 5 years ending on January 31, 2028.
The reappointment came on the day the telco posted consolidated net profit at Rs 20.08 billion in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2022, registering a growth of 141 per cent sequentially and 164 per cent on year-on-year (Y-o-Y) basis.
Meanwhile, Vittal is not debarred from holding the office of director by virtue of any order of Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) or any other such authority.
