Bharti Airtel has reportedly promoted Sunil Taldar, DTH business head, to the post of director (market operations) to oversee Airtel’s operations nationally and is likely to further promote him to the post of chief operating officer (COO) in the near future.
The move has come in the backdrop of the expected retirement of Ajai Puri, the current COO of Airtel, by the end of December 2021. Puri has been associate with the company for around 17 years.
Airtel has said that Nagananda, chief executive officer (CEO) of direct to customer channels business and Ayan Sarkar, distribution business head, will now report to Taldar.
Further, Airtel has also appointed Manu Sood, chief executive officer (Upper North), as the new category leader and CEO of its DTH business. Meanwhile, Vir Inder Nath has been promoted to the post of category leader and CEO, home broadband operations.
