Bharti Airtel is reportedly looking to generate meaningful revenue from its digital services vertical including entertainment and financial services, within the next 3-4 quarters.
To this end, the telecom operator is building digital products and services portfolio on its own products as well as through partnerships.
Further, Airtel plans to expand its presence to 1,000 cities by March 2021 from 10 cities at present. Besides, the telco is also focusing on its advertising vertical and the payments portfolio. According to industry sources, the telco is building a portfolio with banks of over 50 million customers.
Recently, the telco had announced setting up a five-year target to emerge as a strong player in the space.
