Bharti Airtel has deployed additional 5MHz of spectrum in the 900 MHz band along with advanced network software tools across its network in Odisha to enhance high-speed data experience.
Further, the operator has also initiated the rollout of additional 10MHz spectrum in the 2300MHz band to boost network capacity.
The new spectrum deployment will help strengthen the network availability and data speeds along with better coverage inside homes and buildings in cities as well as urban areas.
As per industry sources, Airtel had acquired the 16.4MHz spectrum for Odisha during the recent auctions that were held earlier this year by the Department of Telecommunications (DOT). With this fresh spectrum, Airtel has the largest spectrum bank of 63.8MHz in Odisha.
