Bharti Airtel has successfully carried out India’s first cloud gaming session in a 5G-based setting. The pilot was conducted in Manesar, during the ongoing 5G trials using spectrum allocated by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT).

Cloud gaming enables users to stream and play games in real time without the need to download them or invest in gaming hardware. With the launch of 5G, cloud gaming is expected to gain popularity as users will have access to high end console like gaming experience on their smartphones and tablets.
