Bharti Airtel is going to form an independent fibre company and has named Abhay Sarva­gaon­kar as its chief executive officer (CEO). Earlier, Sarvagaonkar served as Airtel’s director for networks. The creation of the new in­de­pendent fibre company comes at a time wh­en Airtel is competing with Reliance Jio in the optic fibre market.
