Aircel has partnered with Nimbuzz to offer its subscribers messaging services in Jammu and Kashmir. Over the next few months, the operator is planning to extend this partnership to New Delhi and the Northeast states.
Commenting on the tie-up, Sundeep Talwar, operations head, Jammu & Kashmir, Sundeep Talwar, says, ?Jammu & Kashmir is a highly regulated market, where SMS services are unavailable, so our focus is on data. Following the launch of Nimbuzz, the data usage from our subscribers in this circle has gone up by 25 per cent. Over 5,000 users have downloaded Nimbuzz in just 15 days.?
