Aircel Limited has launched 4G services in the Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar and Odisha circles. With this, the company becomes the second telecom operator after Bharti Airtel to offer these services in India.

The 4G long term evolution services provided by the company include customised offerings for enterprise and home customers, along with high speeds and low latency.

The company had bought 20 MHz of spectrum in the 2300 MHz spectrum band across eight circles – Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, West Bengal, Bihar, Odisha, Assam and Northeast and Jammu and Kashmir circles, in the auctions held in May 2010.
