Aircel is planning to invest $2.5 billion to expand its presence from nine to 23 telecom circles by 2009. The company, which has already received the licence to operate in all circles, is currently awaiting spectrum from DoT. It intends to begin operations in the Kolkata circle, where it has already received the requisite spectrum, by the end of 2007. Aircel is planning to build up its telecom tower infrastructure, and is also chalking out plans for providing ILD and NLD services.
