Aircel has awarded a 2G, 3G network optimisation contract to Astellia, a network and subscriber intelligence provider. Under the arrangement, Astellia will deploy its Nova suite for the optimisation of Aircel?s network in India. Subsequently, the telecom operator would be able to detect the causes of network quality degradations and take corrective measures, thereby ensuring the efficiency of the network.
Further, as part of the contract, Astellia will leverage customer analytics to help Aircel understand and predict customer usage trends, optimise existing data plans and introduce new ones, address churn and optimise return on its infrastructure investments.
The deal would also help Aircel to further strengthen its operating and capital expenditure strategies.
