The Adani Group is working to develop an integrated data centre and technology business park in Madhurawada, Vizag, in hopes of boosting the local technology ecosystem in the region. The inauguration ceremony was done in the presence of the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy, managing director of the Adani Group, Rajesh Adani, and chief executive officer and whole time director of Adani Ports and SEZ (APSEZ) Limited, Karan Adani.
The facility will aim at creating more jobs amd opening new gateways of growth in the region, connecting Vizag to the Asia-Pacific IT ecosystem. AdaniConneX will host the 200+ MW data centre facility within the park. The park will be powered by 100 per cent renewable energy and will be connected with robust terrestrial and submarine infrastructure.
With the establishment of 300 MW data centres by the Adani Group, the company will lay a submarine cable from Singapore in order to help the future dynamics of broadband services. The city will also deploy renewable sources of energy to power itself up. The Adani Group aims at developing 15,000 MW of renewable power projects in 10 million tonnes per annum of cement manufacturing capacity in Andhra Pradesh, as AdaniConneX rapidly executes its plan to deliver 1 GW hyperlocal to hyperscale data centre capacity throughout India.
