Adani Enterprises Limited has purchased a 34,275 square metre land parcel in Noida for Rs 1,034.1 million to build a data centre. The land has been allotted by the Noida Authority.
The company will invest Rs 24 billion in the new plant in Noida’s Sector 62, which will employ 1,350 people.
Earlier, in April 2021, the company was allotted a 39,146 square metre land in Noida sector 80 to build a data centre where it plans to invest Rs 25 billion.
Recently, the Noida authority had ratified the Uttar Pradesh government’s data centre policy, that makes acquiring land to set up data centres near the forthcoming international airport at Jewar more reasonable.
According to the policy, any company investing over Rs 2 billion in data centres will be eligible for relaxation in stamp duty, electricity charges and building by-laws.
The state government aims to attract Rs 200 billion investment and build three data centre parks in the region.
