According to news reports, Reliance Infocomm hopes to cover A 100 towns in Uttar Pradesh by February-March as part of its Phase-II network expansion. Under this, the company plans to reach 546 towns in Uttar Pradesh and Uttaranchal. It has already connected 64 new towns in Phase-II, in addition to the 41 towns where it is operating. In addition, the company plans to network 20 towns in Uttar Pradesh (West) and 16 towns in Uttar Pradesh (East). This will provide Reliance Infocomm coverage in about 200 villages in the periphery of these 36 towns. The company plans to cover about 60 towns every month.
