According to news reports, BSNL’s broadband subscriber base has A crossed 5,000 users with over 132,000 registrations. The company reported 1,000 connections and 100,000 registrations for its DataOne services at the end of January 2005. It launched broadband services in January and is offering speeds of 256 kbps at Rs 500 per month. BSNL proposes to cover 200 cities by the end of the fiscal year.
