Accedian Networks, the Performance Assurance Solution Specialist, is shipping SkyLIGHT VCX, the industry?s first performance assurance controller employing network function virtualisation (NFV) to bring advanced monitoring capabilities network-wide without the need for expensive, high-end test equipment.

Working together with Accedian’s Nano smart SFP (optical transponder) and compact gigabit Ethernet modules VCX delivers multi-flow traffic generation and ability to monitor the performance of thousands of flows. The solution combines centralized control with distributed test traffic generation (using easily-installed modules that cost up to 90 per cent less than existing solutions) to eliminate key cost, scalability, and coverage barriers to network performance visibility for mobile backhaul and small cells.
The VCX Controller and Accedian Modules are available in the market and over 40 service providers have already deployed thousands of modules in production, and dozens of trials continue at leading service providers in the Americas, Europe, and Asia.
