ACC extends Robert J. Ravi’s tenure as CMD of BSNL and MTNL by three months

The appointments committee of the cabinet (ACC) has approved the extension of Robert J. Ravi’s additional charge as the chairman and managing director (CMD) of Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) for another three months, effective October 15, on an interim basis.

As per the order, the appointment will remain valid until the “appointment of a regular incumbent” or until further notice, whichever is earlier. During this period, Ravi will not receive any additional remuneration for holding the dual charge.

Additionally, the ACC had earlier extended Ravi’s tenure as CMD of BSNL and MTNL for three months from July 15, 2025, to October 10, 2025.
