Abhay Savargaonkar, former chief executive officer (CEO) of Bharti Airtel’s wholly owned fibre subsidiary, Telesonic Networks Limited, has joined Nokia Software as head of technology in a global role. In his new role, he will look after software operations for the Finnish telecom equipment manufacturer, focusing on domains such as IMC, core cloud and all software applications. Savargaonkar had been associated with Bharti Airtel in various capacities for more than eight years. In the past, he has also worked with Lucent Technologies and served in the DoT as deputy general manager.
