A US federal district court has issued an injunction against Qualcomm, ruling that some of Qualcomm’s products for the US market infringe on three Broadcom patents.

A US federal district court has issued an injunction against Qualcomm, ruling that some of Qualcomm’s products for the US market infringe on three Broadcom patents. The ruling has provided Qualcomm with a limited licence, subject to an ongoing royalty payment, till January 2009, for the QChat and 1x/EV-DO products that were found to infringe on Broadcom’s patents.
