Agroup of buyout firms is considering an 11 billion euro offer for Portugal Telecom SGPS, which recently received a 10.7 billion euro (9.5 euro per share) offer from the Sonae Group. The group, which includes Warburg Pincus, BC Partners, Texas Pacific Group, Apollo Management, Silver Lake Partners and Bain Capital, is reportedly in the early stages of forming a consortium for the acquisition.
