Tata Electronics has signed a pact with the government of Tamil Nadu involving investment commitments worth Rs 120.8 billion to expand the assembly operations of Apple iPhone in the state.
Additionally, Pegatron, Apple’s Taiwan supplier, has also signed a memorandum of understanding with the state government to invest Rs 10 billion to expand production in Tamil Nadu.
During the signing of the agreements, Chief Minister M. K. Stalin stated that the Tamil Nadu government would support investors in every way possible.
