Rajesh Nambiar has been appointed chairman and president of Ciena India in a newly established role to coordinate and accelerate the company’s growth in the country. Based at Ciena’s recently expanded Gurugram campus, Nambiar will help customers in India create strategies to transform their networks as they work towards achieving the Digital India vision. He previously led IBM’s application services business globally and served in various leadership roles at the company for more than 13 years. Prior to that, he spent nearly 20 years with the Tata Group, growing its business in the US.
