Jio Platforms has successfully acquired US-based communications equipment maker Mimosa Networks, Inc. for $60 million via its wholly owned subsidiary Radisys Corporation. Henceforth, Mimosa will now operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of Radisys.
As a result of the acquisition, Jio Platforms will be able to improve its 5G and broadband services by acquiring Mimosa’s point-to-point and point-to-multi-point products.
Additionally, with the help of Mimosa’s technologies, multi-gigabit-per-second fixed wireless access (FWA) networks and wireless backhaul connectivity for telecommunications systems are expected to be quickly rolled out.
