Jammu Smart City Limited (JSCL) has signed an agreement with LMES to install Wi-Fi hotspots at 20 locations in the Jammu smart city under union government’s smart city mission. This move is aimed at benefitting students and business community.
The agreement was signed and exchanged between the chief executive officer, JSCL and director, LMES.
The Wi-Fi hotspots will be installed at Government Medical College Jammu, railway station Jammu, canal road Jammu, Jammu University, Channi Himmat, Trikut Nagar, Shastri Nagar and others.
Earlier, in the first phase, Wi-Fi hotspots were installed at 16 locations. Over 4500 people connected monthly to the network from KC Plaza to Raghunath Mandir to Mubarak Mandir to Kachi Chawni to Indra Chowk.
