India can unlock economic value worth $700 billion by 2030 if it adopts open digital platforms in areas such as healthcare, agriculture, education and urban governance, as per Nasscom.

Creating such digital platforms and ecosystems around them can drive $500 billion in new value and drive additional savings of $200 billion, according to Nasscom’s report – ‘The Platformisation Play’.

Furthermore, public platforms can help increase life expectancy by 1-3 years, retain 15-25 million students in school, and resolve 2-6 million cases pending in court for more than three years.

According to the report, the global adoption of platforms such as BHIM and UPI presents India with a big opportunity.
