Reliance Jio has deployed its first commercial narrow band-internet of things (NB-IoT) service for Tata Power Delhi Distribution’s (Tata Power-DDL) smart meters.
The Tata Power-DDL supplies electricity to North Delhi.
According to Tata Power DDL, the NB-IoT technology integration has been done involving meter manufacturers and NB-IoT service of Reliance-Jio Network. The interoperability has been achieved at meter data management level whereby meters from multiple makes and different technologies are collected, worked upon, and analysed at the same platform.
