IndiaAI Mission chief executive officer Abhishek Singh has been transferred to the National Testing Agency (NTA) as director general, as part of a bureaucratic reshuffle, according to an order issued on March 31, 2026.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) is yet to name a replacement for Singh’s post at MeitY. Singh, a 1995-batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Nagaland cadre, also served as director general of the National Informatics Centre and was empanelled as a secretary in February.
Other significant changes announced by the ACC include Chanchal Kumar being appointed as Information and Broadcasting Secretary, replacing Sanjay Jaju.
