As per the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India’s (TRAI) data, operators generated gross revenues of Rs 800.57 billion during the quarter ended December 2025. These included unified access service licence (UASL), unified licence (UL) and mobile + basic licence holders.
Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited reported the highest gross revenue of Rs 343.15 billion, followed by Bharti Airtel at Rs 279.18 billion, Vodafone Idea Limited (Vi) at Rs 127.56 billion, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) at Rs 40.07 billion, and Tata Teleservices Limited at Rs 10.35 billion.
Circle-wise, Maharashtra reported the highest gross revenue at Rs 76.76 billion. It was followed by Uttar Pradesh-East at Rs 62.88 billion, Andhra Pradesh at Rs 59.95 billion, Bihar at Rs 58.4 billion and Tamil Nadu (including Chennai) at Rs 57.26 billion.
The least revenue generating telecom circles were the Northeast (Rs 4.26 billion), Himachal Pradesh (Rs 6.48 billion), Jammu & Kashmir (Rs 9 billion), Kolkata (Rs 15.74 billion) and Haryana (Rs 16.81 billion).

As per TRAI’s data, companies operating in the national long distance (NLD) space generated total gross revenues of Rs 70.67 billion during the quarter ended December 2025.
At Rs 17.9 billion, Vi accounted for 25.32 per cent of the total industry NLD revenues. It was followed by Airtel (Rs 14.3 billion), BSNL (Rs 11.42 billion), Tata Communications (Rs 14.21 billion) and Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (Rs 4.29 billion).
Meanwhile, companies operating in the international long distance (ILD) space generated total gross revenues of Rs 34 billion during the quarter under consideration.
Vi recorded the highest gross revenue in the ILD segment at Rs 10.18 billion. It was followed by Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited (Rs 8.33 billion), Airtel (Rs 8.19 billion), Tata Communications Limited (Rs 2.08 billion), AT&T Global Network Services India Private Limited (Rs 1.42 billion) and Verizon Communications India Private Limited (Rs 1.14 billion).
