The Supreme Court has upheld the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation’s (DMRC) decision to award the contract for installing and operating in-building solutions (IBS) for 5G services on the Delhi Airport Metro Express Line to Indus Towers.

The court dismissed a petition filed by Crest Digital, which had challenged DMRC’s move to grant the contract to Indus Towers on a nomination basis through private negotiations. However, the court granted Crest Digital limited relief, allowing it to apply afresh for the allocation of a 12-metre area for coverage. It directed DMRC to consider such an application on appropriate and suitable grounds.
