Cisco has entered into a partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) to set up the Cisco centre of excellence (CoE) for artificial intelligence (AI), networking, and entrepreneurship at the Multi Skill Training Institute (MSTI) and the Model Career Centre (MCC) in Mumbai.

Cisco stated that it is strengthening its long-term partnership with the NIIT Foundation to train 2.7 million individuals across India in AI and cybersecurity by 2028, including 0.1 million in Maharashtra. As part of this plan, Cisco will also collaborate with Dr. D.Y. Patil College of Engineering and Innovation to establish a new experience, design, go-to-market (EDGE) centre in Pune.

Further, Cisco will work with the government of Maharashtra to equip the state’s youth with digital capabilities through the Ratan Tata Maharashtra State Skills University. Under this collaboration, digital skills courses from the Cisco Networking Academy will be made available at more than 125 skill centres within various educational institutions across the state.

Lastly, Cisco announced that it will introduce a startup technology accelerator in partnership with the Villgro Innovation Foundation.
