RailTel, has performed the Bhoomi Puja for its upcoming 10-megawatt (MW) data centre in Noida, which will be developed in partnership with Techno Electric & Engineering Company Limited (TEECL). The ceremony marks a landmark milestone in India’s digital infrastructure roadmap and accelerating the vision of Digital India and Atmanirbhar Bharat.

Spanning over 17,000 square metres, the upcoming RailTel’s silver jubilee data centre in Noida shall be developed initially for 10 MW capacity. This is strategically located in Phase 2, Noida, a rapidly developing hub within Uttar Pradesh’s digital and industrial corridor. The data centre facility will be complying with the latest industry standards. Further, the data centre will offer a wide range of services like hosting (shared as well as dedicated), co-location and managed services.

Commenting on this, Minister for Railways, Information & Broadcasting and Electronics & Information Technology, said ‘I express my compliments to the RailTel team for setting up 10 MW Data Centre in Noida. This is in line with the Digital India Mission as envisioned by the prime minister Narendra Modi. This domestic data centre will help meet Bharat’s data localisation requirements and strengthen National data security.’
