Bharti Airtel (Airtel) has announced its audited consolidated financial results for the second quarter (Q2) ended September 30, 2025. The company’s total revenue increased to Rs 521.45 billion in Q2 2025-26 from Rs 414.73 billion in Q2 2024-25, a 25.7 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase. The growth was driven by strong momentum in both India and Africa. As per the company, India’s revenues for Q2 2025-26 reached Rs 386.9 billion, reflecting a YoY growth of 22.6 per cent and quarter-on-quarter (QoQ) growth of 2.9 per cent. Meanwhile, mobile revenue registered a 13.2 per cent YoY growth, driven by higher realisations and an expanding customer base. The company delivered an average revenue per user (ARPU) for the quarter at Rs 256, up from Rs 233 in Q2 2024-25.
Further, company’s earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) increased 35.9 per cent YoY to Rs 299.19 billion in Q2 2025-26. The telco’s EBIT increased to Rs 166.69 billion from Rs 109.96 billion in the reported period. Furthermore, the profit before tax rose by 82.5 per cent to Rs 123.22 billion in Q2 2025-26 while net income (before exceptional items) increased to Rs 67.92 billion from Rs 39.11 billion in the reported period.
Commenting on the results, vice-chairman and managing director, Bharti Airtel, said, “We delivered another quarter of solid performance, achieving a consolidated revenue of Rs 521.45 billion growing 5.4 per cent sequentially and underscoring the strength of our portfolio. Our India revenue, including passive infrastructure services, increased by 2.9 per cent. Africa delivered another quarter of standout performance with constant currency revenue growth of 7.1 per cent. India mobile business delivered 2.6 per cent revenue growth, adding 5.1 million smartphone customers, maintaining an industry-leading ARPU of Rs 256 led by continued premiumisation of portfolio and a steadfast focus on quality customers. The post-paid segment recorded one of the highest quarterly net additions of approximately 1 million. Our homes business sustained strong momentum with 951,000 net customer additions and sequential revenue growth of 8.5 per cent. IPTV services continue to gain strong traction, driving our connected homes priority. Airtel Business reported strong results with 4.3 per cent sequential revenue growth. We saw multiple deal wins across connectivity, internet of thing and security business. Our solid balance sheet is a reflection of disciplined capital allocation, continued deleveraging and sustained operational excellence.”
