Reliance Jio has rolled out nationwide voice over new radio (VoNR) services for its mobile subscribers on its indigenously developed 5G standalone (SA) core.
VoNR allows low-latency, high-quality voice calls directly over the 5G SA network, removing the need to fall back on 4G. This advancement reduces call set-up times, minimises voice drops, and lowers device battery consumption, ensuring a smoother and more reliable calling experience.
