Indiesemic, a Gujarat-based semiconductor design company, has unveiled India’s first internet of things (IoT) evolution board at Semicon India 2025 in New Delhi. The launch represents self-reliance in semiconductor hardware under the Atmanirbhar Bharat and Make in India missions.
The board, developed in collaboration with Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), integrates the indigenous VEGA processor with Bluetooth and long range (LoRa) wireless connectivity designed by Indiesemic. Positioned as a development and deployment-ready hardware platform, it is expected to help enterprises and startups accelerate prototyping, enhance security, and reduce reliance on imported hardware, with potential applications across smart cities, industrial automation, healthcare, defence, and aerospace.
