Indus Towers Limited, a subsidiary of Bharti Airtel, announced on September 2, 2025, that it plans to extend its footprint into African markets, with Airtel’s Africa operations serving as its anchor customer.
Indus Towers stated that this expansion will be supported by its strong financial standing, with Airtel continuing as its primary customer.
At present, Airtel already holds a significant presence in Africa, serving over 169.4 million customers across 14 markets on the continent.
