Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DoT) has launched first cohort of incubation program named as “Samarth” with a focus on fostering innovation and promoting technological advancements in India’s telecommunications and IT sectors. “Samarth” Incubation Program is designed to provide comprehensive support for start-ups and innovators engaged in creating next-generation technologies in the fields of telecom software applications, cyber security, 5G/6G technologies, artificial intelligence (AI), internet of thing (IoT) applications and quantum technologies. The program aims to encourage the development of sustainable and scalable business models, offer access to cutting-edge resources, and help start-ups bridge the gap from ideation to commercialisation.

In addition, C-DOT has selected Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) as the implementation partner to drive the vision of nurturing high-impact, innovative solutions and start-ups in the tech ecosystem.

Further, ‘Samarth’ represents a dynamic and supportive environment for startups looking to make their mark in the fast-evolving telecom and IT landscape. The program has a maximum cohort size of 18 start-ups per program, with a total of 36 start-ups across two cohorts of six months each. The program will be delivered in a hybrid mode. Through world-class infrastructure, expert mentorship, and access to a network of investors and industry leaders, the program is set to empower the next generation of innovators.

“Samarth” will connect people, support collaboration, attract investors and ultimately strengthen the startups community for creating a pipeline of future job-creating businesses.

The applications, under ‘Samarth’ are open to Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade recognised startups. Selected startups will get an opportunity to grant up to Rs 0.5 million each, access to well-furnished office space for a period of six months at C-DOT Campus, access to C-DOT Lab facilities, mentorship from C-DOT technical leaders and industry experts. Based on progress the start-up will get an opportunity for future collaboration under C-DOT Collaborative Research Program.
