Tata Communications has announced the appointment of N. Ganapathy Subramaniam, non-executive, non-independent director, as the chairman of its Board of Directors, effective March 14, 2025. This decision was made by the Board based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee.
Subramaniam became a non-executive director on the Board of Tata Communications Limited on December 2, 2021. With a career spanning over four decades in the Indian IT sector, he has been associated with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for many years. He stepped down as the chief operating officer and executive director of TCS in May 2024.
Currently, he serves as the chairman and non-executive director of Tata Elxsi Limited and Tejas Networks Limited. Additionally, he leads the Governing Council of Bharat6G Alliance. Besides, he is a member of Institute Body at Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology and the president of the Executive Committee at The Society for the Rehabilitation of Crippled Children, Mumbai.
