US-based Lam Research has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board (KIADB) to invest over Rs 100 billion ($1.2 billion) in the next few years in Karnataka. This would provide boost to the nation’s plans to bolster its semiconductor ecosystem.
However, specific details about the project’s timeline and expected employment generation were not disclosed.
