Reliance Jio has reached a significant milestone by providing 4G and 5G network connectivity to the Siachen Glacier, recognised as the highest battlefield in the world.
In partnership with the Indian Army, Jio is now the first telecom operator to establish seamless connectivity in this challenging environment.
Further, the deployment was facilitated with assistance from Army Signallers and involved the installation of plug-and-play pre-configured equipment at a forward post, utilising Jio’s indigenous full-stack 5G technology.
