The Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT) Delhi is organising a two-day international workshop, titled “Indo-US Workshop on 6G Technologies,” on December 9-10 in Delhi.
The primary goal of the workshop is to evaluate the current state of 6G development in India and to discuss objectives related to use cases, technology development, intellectual property rights (IPR), prototype and testbed creation, as well as the manufacturing of equipment and devices.
Additionally, it aims to address the development of skilled personnel and recommend strategies for achieving these objectives, highlighting how collaboration between India and the US can facilitate progress.
The event will include panel discussions and presentations from telecom stakeholders from both countries, featuring distinguished academics, government representatives, standardisation bodies, telecom operators, and equipment manufacturers. According to Professor Shankar Prakriya, head, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Delhi, the workshop presents a unique opportunity for students, researchers, and engineers to gain direct insights into 6G technologies.
